Faerie Baby is one of a kind in the "Starbourne"

series, sculpted completely by hand.

this tiny faerie princess rests in an egg covered with mosaic bits

of glass and ceramic, some opaque, some transparent.

ranging from light chartreuse to deep cobalt blue and shades of .

teal, soft blue and greens in between

i love the relative randomness of mosaic and find this form very relaxing.

the edges are surrounded with sterling silver leaf, sealed so as not to tarnish and genuine

lepidolite crystal shards inside the egg, also the

inside is painted faux mother of pearl .

the egg shards are also treated as the egg is.

the faerie princess is dressed in vintage intricate lace

with bits of pearl and swarovsky crystal accents

her red hair is tied in a bun with metallic thread and rhinestone accent.

this faerie measures 3 and one half inches...
